The T. M. Graber Outstanding Article Award was established to recognize JWFO authors who make significant contributions to the field of orthodontics by publishing the results of their work in the JWFO. It is named in honor of Dr. T. M. Graber, who was the first editor of the WFO’s first official journal, the World Journal of Orthodontics (WJO), in recognition of his life-long contributions to the profession of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics through his endeavors in academics, research, his extensive scientific and clinical publications and his responsibilities as editor.
Dr. Vinod Krishnan, the Editor-in-Chief of the JWFO, stated that the purpose of this award is to recognize researchers who demonstrate exceptional skills in communicating their scientific findings to the public and also to encourage and promote high-quality research in the field of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, and allied sciences. The award-winning article is selected through a rigorous three-step process, which includes external review evaluation as well.
