A highlight of the APOC pre-conference programme, the Residents’ Symposium brings together orthodontic residents from across the Asia-Pacific region and around the world for a day of learning, collaboration, and professional networking.

This year’s symposium is enhanced by the participation of residents from the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), invited through the newly established Future Leaders in Orthodontic Societies (FLOS) initiative. Their involvement adds an exciting international dimension to the programme, fostering greater exchange of ideas and experiences among future leaders of the profession.

The symposium features two presentation streams – Clinical and Research – providing residents with an opportunity to showcase their work, share insights, and engage in academic discussion. Outstanding presentations will be recognised, with prizes awarded to the top presenters in each category.

Designed to encourage interaction and peer learning, the full-day programme offers participants the chance to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges encountered during specialist training, and build lasting connections with colleagues from different countries and institutions.

The day concludes with the Residents’ and Pre-Event Reception, where participants can relax, network, and enjoy an evening of fellowship in a welcoming and informal setting.
