AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ORTHODONTISTS
As always, the AAO was delighted to welcome members and guests from around the world, including leaders of the WFO and many of its affiliate organizations, to the 2025 Annual Session, April 25–27 in Philadelphia.
WFO Executive Committee members who presented lectures in the continuing education program included Dr. Nikhillesh Vaiid, past president; Dr. Letizia Perillo, president-elect; Dr. Flavia Artese, Dr. Eric Liou, and Dr. Lee W. Graber, assistant secretary general. Dr. Graber, who is also a past AAO secretary general and president, presented the Edward H. Angle Award Lecture.

HELLENIC PROFESSIONAL UNION OF ORTHODONTISTS
The Hellenic Professional Union of Orthodontists (HPUO), which continues to play a major role in the ongoing professional education and advancement of Greek orthodontists, held a successful conference in Athens on May 9, 2025, under the leadership of Dr. Andreas Karamouzos, HPUO president. The conference featured informative presentations covering key professional topics, including recent legislative developments, tax-related guidance, and strategies for effective practice management.
In anticipation of World Orthodontic Health Day (May 15), the last part of the conference was dedicated to celebrating this global orthodontic community occasion. HPUO emphasized raising public awareness about the value of early diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic problems, exclusively by trained orthodontic specialists.
WFO Vice President Dr. Panagiotis Skoularikis gave the keynote address highlighting the significance and impact of World Orthodontic Health Day. In alignment with the WFO, of which HPUO is an affiliate member, all Greek orthodontists were encouraged to amplify the day’s message—“A World of Smiles”—through social media, promoting the benefits of orthodontic treatment and engaging with their patients in their practices.
HPUO remains committed to fostering professional excellence and enhancing public awareness through such initiatives.

KOSOVO ORTHODONTIC SOCIETY
The Kosovo Orthodontic Society held its 9th International Orthodontic Conference, “OrthoCongress 9,” May 23–24, 2025, under the leadership of Dr. Blerim Mehmeti, president, and Dr. Venera Kocinaj, secretary. The KOS is committed to promoting cooperation between orthodontists at home and abroad. The conference was in part a celebration of World Orthodontic Health Day, which took place on May 15.
