2025 WFO annual awards winners announced

The WFO Executive Committee and the Annual Awards Committee announced the following winners of WFO 2025 awards during the annual AAO/WFO Presidents’ Breakfast, hosted by the WFO at the 2025 American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session in Philadelphia.

The following award presentations will take place at the Presidents’ Breakfast during the 2026 American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session, May 1–3 in Orlando, Florida:

Lee W. Graber “Orthodontics Changing Lives” Award ($1,000 + Certificate + Plaque):

Dr. Jayesh Rahalkar – Indian Orthodontic Society
Dr. Joe Varghese – Indian Orthodontic Society
Dr. Miguel Hirschhaut – Venezuela Orthodontic Society

Athanasious E. Athanasiou Best Orthodontic Master’s Thesis Award ($1,000 + Certificate + Plaque):

Dr. Denice Loo (University of Melbourne) – Thesis Title: “Bone- and Tooth-Borne Maxillary Protraction with Miniscrews and Class III Elastics: A Pilot Case-Control Study”
Dr. Maxim Milosevic (University of Sydney) – Thesis Title: “The Use of Teleorthodontics & Artificial Intelligence in Orthodontic Screening: A Crossover Randomised Controlled Trial”
