WFO tailors WFO logo for use by members, affiliate organizations

The WFO has developed new versions of its logo for use by WFO fellows, WFO student members and WFO affiliate organizations. Each different version (see the logos below), along with the WFO’s guidance on the appropriate use of the logos, is available online in the members-only section of this website.

WFO members must log into the site to access the members-only section. On the home page, hover on the Membership tab to access the tab’s pull-down menu. Select Benefits of Membership and then Downloadable WFO Logo. On the resulting web page, you can review the guidelines for logo usage and sign into the members-only section to access the logo files. Once you are in the members-only section, select the link WFO Logos in the left-hand column.

“I, along with the members of the WFO Executive Committee, am exceedingly pleased to announce the availability of the WFO logos for use by WFO fellows, student members and affiliate organizations,” WFO President Dr. Allan Thom said. “We encourage members to use the WFO logo to herald their association with the WFO, a global network of orthodontic specialists. This usage will, in turn, promote the WFO and its brand to even more orthodontists.”

WFO fellows in good standing (fellows, honorary fellows, academic fellows and retired fellows) may use the WFO fellow logo on printed materials (office stationery, business cards and practice brochures), external and internal signage, websites, and marketing and advertising materials.

While not yet affiliated with an orthodontic practice, WFO students may use the WFO logo on their professional cards. “Within many institutions around the world, postgraduate students, as well as PhD students, have professional cards to hand out to patients and to use for other research purposes while they are still at their educational institutions. The student logo can be used on these cards or stationery the students use,” said Dr. Nikhilesh Vaid, who, as chair of the WFO Promotions Committee, worked with WFO Executive Committee members Dr. Ricardo Machado Cruz and Dr. Yanheng Zhou to develop the WFO membership logos and logo guidelines.

WFO affiliate national and regional organizations may use the affiliate organization logo to recognize their relationship with the WFO.

Each version of the logo is available in JPEG, EPS, PNG and TIF formats. The EPS and TIF files are for professional printing. The TIF and JPEG formats are suitable for Microsoft Word applications and presentations. The PNG and JPEG formats are suitable for website use.
