The Opening Ceremony of the 8th International Orthodontic Congress® (IOC) celebrated the transformative power of orthodontics and the contributions of some of the highest achieving orthodontists in the world. The Urban Soul Orchestra, pictured here, kicked off the 8th IOC with its spectacular British-themed performance that featured events and music from the Victorian era to the present.
Dr. Jonathan Sandler, Chairman of the 8th IOC Organizing Committee, welcomes the delegates to London during the Opening Ceremony on September 27th to 3 days of meetings including world class speakers, an extensive exhibit hall with a hundreds of poster boards and spectacular social functions.
Fiona Lowe, a dental nurse at Hightown Orthodontics in Crewe, England, submitted this soaring photo of the London Eye, the city’s famed Ferris wheel, for the 8th International Orthodontic Congress® (IOC) photo contest. She is the daughter of Dr. Christopher Lowe, an orthodontist at Hightown Orthodontics and a WFO fellow.
