Early registration for the 6th International Orthodontic Congress in Paris will open in June 2004

Registration for the 6th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) and 3rd Meeting of the WFO will open in June 2004. Dr. Olivier Mauchamp, president of the overall planning committee for this meeting ― the Comité d’Organisation du Congrés International d’Orthodontie (COCIO) ― made this announcement during the WFO Presidents’ Luncheon May 3 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

The upcoming congress will be held September 11-15, 2005, in Paris. Research and clinical information will be the core of the scientific program that will feature 59 speakers from around the world. This program will include a champion lecture series that will highlight some of the best lecturers in orthodontics. In addition to the scientific program, the congress will also feature the European Village. Within the European Village, the European orthodontic organizations that are represented on the COCIO will hold their own meetings in the available auditoriums. The lectures will be in the native language of the organizations and translated into English.

The Société Française d’Orthopédie Dento-Faciale (SFODF) and the Syndicat des Spécialistes Français en Orthopédie Dento-Faciale (SSFODF) are hosting the congress. However, numerous orthodontic organizations throughout Europe are co-organizers of the event and are represented on the COCIO.

The COCIO will next convene in November 2003. The planning committee is currently working on the Invitation to Participate, which will be sent to WFO fellows later this year.
